Next round of Negotiations-Interested in participation....

It is once again time to establish a negotiations team for our next bargaining round. Our contract expires at the end of this school year. We have recently had a team of three negotiators, supported by additional members on the periphery who are interested in the bargaining process. If you are interested in being a part of the negotiations team or just want to help behind the scenes, please get in touch with your co-presidents. If you have others who you wish to work with, please consider signing up as a team. If we have numerous teams interested, we will be following our constititution which calls for a vote by our Representative Assembly (NBEA leadership and building leadership). Please submit your name(s) before the next Executive Board meeting on November 28th, 2012.
Contact Kirsten Perales or Chas Bettendorf if intersted.

NFT Community Outreach PTO meeting follow up

On Nov. 14, the first meeting of members of the NFT Community Outreach Team with PTO parent members was held. We appreciate all of the parents and teachers who attended; we know how busy you are with your families.

In an informal setting, information and constructive ideas were shared. It is the Outreach Team's mission to establish an ongoing relationship between the parents and the teachers of the Neshaminy School District for the benefit of the students.
To that end, the positive dialogue will continue and future quarterly meetings will be held.

Please share the following fliers from the NFT Community Outreach meeting with your friends and neighbors. ( PDF icon nft_concessions_11_16_12.pdf & PDF icon neshaminy_parent_flier.pdf )

Feel free to forward and questions or concerns to NFT1417@verizon.net and include "Community Outreach" in the subject line.

Sincerely,

Tara Huber and Josh Krieger
NFT Community Outreach Team Chairpersons

Happy Thanksgiving, and a five-day weekend

MPEC members and all unit G employees,

As president of MPEC, I would like to wish you a very happy Thanksgiving holiday. As state of Maryland employees, we will be able to enjoy a five-day holiday this year which will include this coming Wednesday thanks to a provision in the last contract negotiated by your union which included an additional paid day off before the holiday.

MPEC will continue to work to assure you the best possible benefits and working conditions for your state careers. We value your input and support as we work on your behalf.
