August Union Meeting for Nurses

RC23 is please to present Joy Squires with NYSUT’s Community Service Award for 2017. Joy is a retired Elwood elementary school teacher and district elementary science coordinator. As an active teacher, Joy created an ecological laboratory and an elementary science lab in two elementary schools.
A Prince George’s County caseworker in the county’s Department of Social Services was terminated due to alleged negligent performance of her duties and being guilty of disreputable conduct. MCEA took her case before the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH) in May, 2016.
