Implementing the Kirwan Commission recommendations is a once-in-a lifetime opportunity to make significant changes to the way Maryland students are educated. These changes will have particular effects on Baltimore City Public School students as well as students from Prince George’s county.
Voting members of the City Union of Baltimore (CUB) overwhelmingly ratified recent contract negotiations. Membership in CUB is broken down by those employed in the Baltimore City Public School System, and those employed by the city of Baltimore. One hundred percent of the members employed by the school system voted to ratify that contract.
