To give UW President Young a better picture of our situation, we included personal testimonials from our members in the information package we delivered to him. Here are a few excerpts.
On Friday, September 27th, representatives of UW English Language Faculty visited the office of UW President Michael Young and delivered an informational packet. This packet contained a letter reintroducing the Union, a summary of facts about the Union, and personal testimonials from many Union members.

As educators at a state-funded university, we who teach at UMD have a distinct perspective on the importance of Duluth’s public schools and the consequences for our community that will result from choking off funding for them.
Duluth’s Independent School District #709 is currently in the fifth and final year of an operating levy that provides invaluable to support the functioning of our local schools.

Here are all the details for Benjamin Ginsberg's (author of the Fall of the Faculty: the Rise of the All Administrative University and Why it Matters) public lecture Thursday evening September 26th at 7 p.m. at the Marshall Performing Arts Center.
